A Summer Wedding at The Bond Company, Birmingham
When my couples become my friends – so heart warming! Their chosen venue name was so fitting for their special day. Long before Aaron and Rajni had their beautiful wedding at The Bond Company, Birmingham; I knew we’d create a little bond of our own.
Aaron and Rajni had finally made it to the most important day they had patiently waited for. Their fabulous wedding day! After speaking with Rajni a number of times before their wedding day, her most used phrase was an excited, overjoyed “I just want to marry him now!” – and when that time finally came, I am so thankful I got to share it with you both and capture it for you.
Rajni’s wedding dress was a stunning nude and peach tone Couture Sabyasachi Indian Lengha. It was hand embellished from top to bottom and weighed a ton. You are brave for wearing it all day Rajni and totally rocked the outfit! Aaron got ready with his best man at the swanky boutique hotel The High Field Town House. I adore this quirky hotel. It was so fitting for Aaron who had serious Groom-style on the day! Aaron wore a Clements and Church tailored suit with handmade Vass Shoes from Budapest. The couple channeled their own personalities in their outfit styles but came together so well.
As guests arrived at The Bond Company, Aaron prepared to finally meet his beautiful wife-to-be at the alter. The talented pianist and close friend of Rajni, Tokio Myers (hmm, I’m pretty sure I recognise him from somewhere…) played the piano as Aaron entered the wedding ceremony with his lovely Mother and as Rajni was given away by her younger Brother.
Once these two best-friends were pronounced Husband and Wife, guests headed outside for the all important confetti shot, which added a burst of colour to their stunning multicultural wedding day. As it was a lovely sunny summers day, guests continued to mingle outside with nibbles and drinks, while we got our couples photoshoot underway.
The couple made their grand entrance followed by speeches. One of which was a tweaked rendition of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air by Rajni’s brother. You know, because Aaron is twinning Will Smith and all… After a short break, Aaron went missing on a secret mission to transform himself from “Fresh Prince” to Indian Prince. A complete surprise for Rajni and she loved it! He met her at the dance floor for their first dance and then invited people to join them.
While guests helped themselves to evening food, one of my favourite live bands Soul City played an awesome set of well loved party songs. I had met singer Georgia and guitarist Paul Prok at the wedding of Leon and Sasha and highly recommended them when Rajni told me they were looking for a live band. They’re AWESOME!
My personal message to Aaron and Rajni is a huge heartfelt thank you. Not just for choosing me to be part of your wedding journey. But for making me believe in fighting for what you want even when you have all odds against you, for showing me what real acceptance feels and looks like. Thank you for making me believe in unconditional, limitless love. Remain unbreakable.
